I started out with an initial 10-15km run and went straight into some half marathon distance shortly after that. I didn’t have any wear in issues with these shoes. The newly added lace up draw string system saves me the otherwise annoying task of tying short laces into a heel lock every day.
I find this goes a long way to prevent them snagging on thorny leaves and undergrowth. There is also a mesh pocket that can be used to tuck the excess string into, keeping them out of the way.
